The surface base is a station built on a body's surface instead of in orbit. Only a landed lander builds it, from frames, drill heads and concrete. It holds a deep drill or a core tap, a Dock and smelters.
Behaviour
- It is visible only to a side with a ship deep scanning its body, or a landed ship or surface station of its own there.
- It takes part in a fight only against a side that can see it. Fire from orbit does it reduced damage.
- It trades cargo only with landed ships at its body.
