The hull is the body of an ARCHON and the ship each player starts with. It is the only titan-size ship and carries the ARCHON's core. It has a large hold and moves much faster than the titan size's base speed. Each ARCHON has one hull.
Capabilities
- Mining at a harvester's rate.
- Building harvesters, outposts and workshops. Other ships come from a Shipyard; other orbital stations and gates come from a Constructor.
- Surveying systems, like a Surveyor.
- Carrying liquids and handing fuel to other ships, like a tanker.
- Loading and unloading at any station, with or without a dock.
- Acting as a relay and command post in the Infonet, the network that carries orders to ships. It covers its own system, and messages to its ARCHON are delivered to it.
Maintenance
The hull does not wear. Built from nothing, it has a structure of its own rather than one from its size and mass. Whenever it is damaged, working or disabled, in a fight or not, it slowly repairs itself, faster at one of its owner's docks. A disabled hull works again once whole. A repair at an anchorage's dock, the only dock it fits, clears its damage much faster.
