Scrap is the leftover matter of things taken apart or left unfinished, with the same mass as what it came from. It comes from:
- A scrapped facility, as scrap in its station's hold.
- A production or build job that ends early, from what the job had taken.
- Spent ammunition, which drifts at the body as scrap.
- Wrecks and derelicts taken apart by a scrapper or breaker, and ruins taken apart by a lander.
The Recycle Recipe smelts scrap back into iron plate. No recipe makes scrap.
