A trail is material a body has shed, following it a little behind on the same orbit. It is made by Sublimation: the first shed creates it, and later sheds add to it. A trail does not shed into a trail of its own. It can be mined like any body.
A trail keeps its kind whatever it is made of: the kind rules skip it, as the kind records where it came from.
